The fall hunting season is right around the
corner and dog training is on a
roll here at Mason-Dixon Game Outfitters even though it has
been hot as the
dickens lately. The dog training fields are looking good. The
warm season
grasses are thick in some areas on both the Channel Rd and
Buttermilk Rd.

Summer 2007 Session for Dog Training
Remaining classes
Sept. 8
Sept. 22
- Times that will accommodate the class best
to be e-mailed or
discussed on Sunday. We will do our best to coordinate
a schedule that will
work for everyone. We must also consider cooler parts of
the day as the
weather warms up.
- All classes will be 2 hours long or
will maintain until we can end
each student on a successful note.
- Each lesson will have at least 2 trainers
working together to keep
everyone engaged.
- We will run each class in small group
sessions with some yard work
training and then some bird fun.
- We introduce the pups to the chain
gang, command lead, the long line
and birds, birds, birds.
- The one big bonus for the pups on this
group session is that they
are building prey drive by watching the other pups
work through the field
and seeing the birds fly in front of them from each
pup that is working.
- Cost: $350 for the summer plus birds
@ $7 each (pigeons, quail and
chukar used) or $40 per session plus birds
- Anyone signing up for the summer will
be eligible to enjoy a dog
training membership which normally cost $120 running
from Aug. to Aug. at
$100 even for May 2007 – August 2008. That
is a $50 savings.
- Please contact us if you have any questions
or to let us know if you
are attending.
? What if someone wants to join and doesn't
hear about us or can't make it
until June? We will offer private lessons during the week to
catch them up
with the class and then pro- rate them into the summer sessions?
?- What happens if the weather is bad or
too hot? We will work to
accommodate majority of the group for a make-up class within
the next week. |
